Len Goodman, the revered former judge of Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) has died at the age of 78. We take at the star’s net worth as fans mourn his loss.
Len Goodman passed away on Saturday, April 22 after a brief battle with bone cancer. His manager has revealed that the iconic dancer and former TV judge “died peacefully, surrounded by his family” at a hospice in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
The star was one of the best-known reality tv judges in the UK and the US. He was the judge of Strictly Come Dancing since its inception in 2004 and retained his judging duties until 2016.
Len also helmed the US version of the dance competition called Dancing With The Stars since its launch in 2005. He remained with the show until 2022, before retiring.

Len was born in 1944, in the Bethnal Green area of East London, England. He began dancing at the age of 19 as a therapeutic treatment for his foot injury.
He soon began participating in professional competitions and retired from dancing in his late twenties.
Len became a judge on Strictly Come Dancing in 2004. He remained a judge on the show till 2016. He judged the dance show alongside the likes of Arlene Phillips, Bruno Tonioli, Alesha Dixon, and more, over the years.
The professional dancer also became a judge on ABC’s DWTS in 2005. He has been a judge on the show for 17 years now. He has been the head judge in every season barring seasons 21 and 29.
Len is survived by wife and son
The former Strictly Come Dancing judge is survived by wife Sue Barrett and son James William Goodman.
Len and Sue were married for 11 years between 2012 to 2023.
His son James is a Latin and ballroom dancer. He teaches at his father’s institute Goodman Dance Academy.
